What is a Platform? #
A platform, refers to any social or online medium where you, as an influencer, engage with your audience. This could be your Instagram account, your YouTube channel, a personal blog, or even a podcast.
What makes up a platform:
- Type: The platform type you are linking, we include many major platforms by default and support custom links
- Link: Your link, handle, tag, or unique platform name. We’ll use this to serve your social links to potential advertisers
- Audience Size: The size of your following on that platform, such as follows, subscribers, etc.
- Engagement Metrics: Crucial data that provides insights into your audience’s activity—likes, comments, shares, average watch time, etc.
What is a Space? #
Think of a space as a specific advertising slot or opportunity you’re offering on your platform(s). It’s where brands can promote their products or services through your content. This might be a dedicated Instagram post, a shoutout in your podcast, or a special mention in your YouTube video.
What makes up a space:
- Title: This is the headline of your advertising slot. It should be catchy and give potential advertisers a quick understanding of what the promotional opportunity entails. For example, “Exclusive Instagram Story Shoutout” or “Dedicated YouTube Product Review”.
- Banner Image: A visual representation of your space. This could be a snapshot from a previous promotional post, a behind-the-scenes photo, or any image that encapsulates the essence of the advertising opportunity. It’s the first impression advertisers get, so choose an image that stands out!
- Description: A detailed overview of what the space offers. Here, you can expand on what the advertising slot entails, any specific guidelines or requirements, and what advertisers can expect in terms of content and engagement.
- Price (Once-off/Monthly): The cost associated with renting this space. Clearly specify if the price is a one-time fee (e.g., for a single post or mention) or if it’s a recurring monthly fee (ideal for long-term collaborations or regular mentions).
- Selling Points: Bullet points highlighting the unique advantages of the space. This could include things like “High Engagement Rate”, “Audience Primarily Aged 18-34”, or “Previous Collaborations led to 20% Increased Sales for Brands”.
- Categories: Classify your space, making it easier for advertisers to find the right fit. Categories could be based on content themes like “Tech Reviews”, “Fashion”, or “Fitness”.
Linking Platforms to Spaces #
When creating a space, you’ll be asked to link it to one or more of your platforms. This gives potential advertisers clarity on where their promotion will appear. Remember, a single space can be linked to multiple platforms. For instance, if you’re offering a product review, it could be linked to both your YouTube channel (as a video review) and your Instagram (as a post or story), amplifying the advertisement’s reach.
By linking your platforms and spaces, you make it easier for brands to collaborate with you, ensuring they have a clear understanding of the promotional opportunities you offer.
